St. Ursula Academy continues the religious tradition of Ursulines begun in 1535 in Brescia, Italy by St. Angela Merici, foundress of the Ursuline Sisters. Today at St. Ursula Academy, St. Angela is very much alive as teachers, administrators and staff strive to instill in young women a sense of self-worth, morality and discipline. They also teach students to be qualified leaders in the Church and society and encourage them to be gracious and giving women with high ideals and motivation to serve others.
